What is the formula for calculating the probability of two independent events, A and B, both occurring?

P(A or B) = P(A) + P(B)

P(A and B) = P(A) + P(B)

P(A and B) = P(A) * P(B)

P(A or B) = P(A) * P(B)

For independent events, the probability of both events occurring is found by multiplying their individual probabilities.
